Ramadan Favorites with SKIPPY (NCCC Mall VP – Activity Area)
Sulit shoppers enjoyed our early Ramadan Festival 2025 preparation at the Activity Area of NCCC Supermarket Mall VP today, February 20, with SKIPPY.
Host Sherry Arendain of Mommy She Blog kick-started the event with the halal-certified recipes of SKIPPY Summer Rolls with Peanut Dipping Sauce and Chocolate Peanut Clusters were demonstrated by Guest Chef Dianne Sia-Luceñara of Davao Food Guide.
Product/bundle sampling, exciting freebies, coloring activities, and fun clawing machine games were availed and enjoyed by both young and old.
The SKIPPY booth for Ramadan was up and running for three (3) days from February 20 to 23.
Ramadan Mubarak from Nestle (NCCC Mall VP – Atrium)
As the Ramadan season approaches, sulit shoppers participated in the Ramadan event by NestlĂ© Philippines last February 22, Saturday, at the Atrium of NCCC Mall VP in preparation of the upcoming Ramadan celebration.Â
Food sampling stations were enjoyed by the audiences before the program kick-started. Exciting freebies and giveaways, engaging games, and halal-certified products were available in the duration of the event as well.Â
Chef Tahir Ayunan Malikol demonstrated different Maggi recipes that are worth trying out for Iftar meal preparations including Chicken Pastil (Maguindanaon), Beef Rendang, Palapa Sakurab, and Piaparan A Manok (Maranao). He explains that Ramadan is all about every Muslim’s connection with the Creator. Dabawenyo shoppers were able to have a taste of each dish, which the guest chef and his team generously shared.Â
Social media influencer Shaina Lindongan also entertained our sulit shoppers with her humor and wits as she advised her fans to do good deeds during Ramadan and condition themselves through good food with Nestlé brands.
Best Selling Dishes with Lady’s Choice (Brgy. 22-C, Boulevard)
NCCC Supermarket, in partnership with Unilever Philippines, prepared a special treat for our Muslim sulit shoppers to get ready for Iftar meals.Â
The Bestselling Dishes with Lady’s Choice kick-started at Brgy. 22-C, Boulevard, Davao City. Our special guest Chef Hamida Sibayan demonstrated creative recipes, including Shrimp with Corn & Cucumber Salad and Pizza with Shrimps & Mayo Aioli.Â
Punong Barangay Phillip Roy Pansoy expressed gratitude to the NCCC Supermarket and Unilever teams for giving such an opportunity to their barangay, especially for their Muslim residents. For her message, Omniretail Executive Sha Cuizon of Unilever Philippines stated how special the event is for our Muslim brothers and sisters who are preparing for their Iftar meals. It is significant to point out that these dishes are in-line with their culture’s customs, as well as their health and rich palates.Â
During her closing speech, Marketing and Branding Manager Janna Mutalib of NCCC Supermarket thanked those who made the event possible, and emphasized the importance of being mindful during Ramadan when it comes to food intake.Â
Different games, freebies, and exclusive Unilever gift bags with Choice by NCCC products were given to sulit shoppers who participated during the event. The Lady’s Choice team also gave out free sandwich samples to the audiences.
Qur’an Reading Competition with Alaska MilkÂ
The Muslim children of Al Muhajirun Balik Islam at Catalunan Pequeño participated in the Qur’an Reading Competition event of NCCC Supermarket in partnership with Alaska Milk Corporation in the afternoon of March 11, Tuesday.
Mr. Alvin Tolentino, Account Manager of Alaska Milk Corporation, highlighted the significance of consuming nutritious food during his opening remarks, not just for Iftar—the meal that Muslims eat to break their fast during Ramadan—but also for daily nourishment. He emphasized that Alaska continues to provide quality food products, both solid and liquid, to support overall well-being.
The virtues and proper etiquette of reading the Qur’an during Ramadan are well-explained. Each letter a Muslim recites from the Book of Allah counts as a good deed, which is then multiplied tenfold. Additionally, it is highlighted that Allah Almighty further increases the reward for those who recite the Qur’an.
Jenny Sacar facilitated the competition with a heartfelt appreciation towards NCCC Supermarket and Alaska teams for the opportunity to showcase the skills of the young generation. Â
Consequently, Janna Mutalib of NCCC Supermarket expressed gratitude for the warm welcome given by the residents emphasizing the continuous support of Alaska for another profound Ramadan activity.

Iftar Gift Giving with Unilever (Madrasah Naser Al-Zarot, Marilog District)
NCCC Supermarket distributed approximately one hundred (100) food and exclusive gift packs during their Iftar Gift Giving program in partnership with Unilever Philippines on Thursday, March 13, at the Madrasah Naser Al-Zarot Muslim community in Marilog District, Davao City.
Representatives from NCCC Supermarket, Unilever, and the community of Pagan, Drayer, and Tamugan attended the program. In her opening remarks, Unilever’s Omniretail Executive, Sha Cuizon, expressed her company’s joy in visiting the Muslim community of Pagan to distribute Unilever items to the residents.
The community leader of Madrasah, Alim Edris Hamid, delivered a message of gratitude to NCCC Supermarket and Unilever for choosing their community to receive blessings during Ramadan.
In his brief message, PSSG Jed Madani emphasized their commitment to providing sincere and compassionate service as members of the police force.
Lastly, NCCC Supermarket Marketing Manager Janna Mutalib also expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from the Pagan Muslim community and affirmed the continuous support that NCCC Supermarket will extend to Islamic communities, especially in the coming Ramadan celebrations.
The two teams delighted the residents with nutritious food packs for Iftar and gift bags containing food and hygiene items from NCCC Supermarket and Unilever, including Lady’s Choice, Best Foods, Sunsilk, and Rexona.

Iftar Gift Giving with Magnolia (University of the Philippines Mindanao – Mintal)
The NCCC Supermarket and Magnolia teams distributed over 100 gift packs to the Muslim residents of Mintal, Davao City today at the UP Mindanao-Mintal Campus, in the afternoon of March 14, Friday.
With Star Margarine and Cheezee Squeeze Cheddar Spread, superb dishes were prepared for the attendees. The residents enjoyed the meal with their families and friends during Iftar—when it’s time to break their day’s fasting.
Founding President Zainab Tando of Moro Against Racial Injustice Alliance Movement (MARIAM), Inc. expressed her thanks to NCCC Supermarket for this Iftar Gift Giving collaboration with Magnolia, and to the UP Mintal campus and its Muslim student organization for the location allocated for the event.Â
Account Manager Jeff Horcasitas of Magnolia shared his experiences when he was a UP student, recognizing the beautiful Islam culture he was exposed to. Also mentioning the halal-certified products of Magnolia, he wishes to continue sharing as well the goodness of their food quality.Â
Chef Khalid Gorospe gave a brief message about the importance of following the laws and principles of Islamic teaching during Ramadan. NCCC Supermarket Marketing Manager Janna Mutalib also felt gratitude to the people behind the success of the event, emphasizing the role of NCCC Supermarket in the generations of Muslim families for its service of more than 40 decades.Â
Lastly, the President of UP Mindanao Association of Muslim Students Saipollah Umpa dedicated his message for the NCCC Supermarket, Magnolia, and MARIAM teams, thanking them for the generous hands of everyone, making the event successful.Â

Iftar Gift Giving with Nestle (Masjid Ommol Khair, Bangkal)
For this year’s Ramadan Festival, NCCC Supermarket and NestlĂ© Philippines collaborated for the Iftar Gift Giving event at Purok 75 Masjid Ommol Khair, Bangkal, Davao City last March 18.
Over 200 exclusive gift packs, along with food packs, were given to the young and old residents of the community.
According to the Imam of said Muslim village, Abubakar Allong, he is grateful towards the NCCC Supermarket and NestlĂ© teams for the generosity shown for the villagers. He has stated that there is a great blessing stored for the givers of the Iftar meals and gift packs.Â
The Mindanao Team Lead of NestlĂ© Philippines Jules Manlitoc mentioned how far they already have reached in terms of demonstrating community social responsibility, and wishes to continue the good work that they have started in the next years to come.Â

Iftar Gift Giving with Nestle (Waan District, Buhangin)
NCCC Supermarket, in partnership with Nestlé Philippines, held an Iftar Gift Giving event at Purok 8, Brgy. Waan, Buhangin District, bringing joy and support to the Madrasato Dampha Al-Arabiyyah Muslim community last March 20.
The event gathered around 300 residents, fostering unity and gratitude during this holy month. The program began with a Dua led by Kareem Azaman, followed by a warm welcome message from Former Kagawad Bilmor Kasasawan, who expressed appreciation for the initiative.
Jules Manlitoc, Lead Team from Nestlé Philippines, shared an inspiring message, highlighting the company’s commitment to supporting communities, especially during meaningful occasions like Ramadan. Joining the food distribution are the Account Managers of Nestle, Anna Kalimpo and Ruby Quetulio.
Consequently, NCCC Supermarket Marketing Manager – Janna Mutalib expressed profound gratitude to Nestle Philippines for continuously collaborating with NCCC in bringing relevant activities during Ramadan season for more than 5 years.

Iftar Gift Giving with Nestle (Southern Philippines Medical Center)
The Iftar Gift Giving at Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) by NCCC Supermarket and Nestle last March 24 gave smiles to the faces of Muslim community members and patients’ watchers in the said institution.
Exclusive gift bags and food packs were distributed to the recipients, which were heartily given by the two teams. Stated by Sheikh Ahmad Ampuan of the SPMC Muslim Prayer Room, they are in gratitude for the kind sponsors that spared time and effort for the benefit of the residing Muslim brothers and sisters, as well as the patients.
Jules Manlitoc, Team Lead of NestlĂ© Philippines, their company is also grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with NCCC in reaching out to Muslim shoppers. NestlĂ© will continue to both inspire and support Muslim communities as giving back to their loyal consumers.Â

Ramadan Gift Giving with SKIPPY (Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat)
NCCC Supermarket and Purefoods’ SKIPPY partnered for the Ramadan Gift Giving event last March 25 at Tacurong City’s Cultural Sports Center.Â
Over 200 gift bags were distributed to the Muslim residents of various barangays in the city. With the Duaa prayer led by Ustadz Bobby Oto, the event kick-started with good faith.Â
Joseph George Lechonsito, Mayor of Tacurong City, gave a message recognizing the efforts of NCCC Supermarket in collaborating with the City Hall of Tacurong many times during various events. Additionally, he encouraged his people to support NCCC Supermarket via purchasing their grocery and business needs in the latter’s Tacurong and Davao branches.
Janna Mutalib, Marketing Manager of NCCC Supermarket, highlighted her two favorite lessons for Ramadan, which are giving back and doing good deeds towards and for others. The event is a big example of demonstrating these values, especially to the Muslim community.Â
Lemuel De La Fuente, Store Manager of NCCC Supermarket – Tacurong branch, also greeted our Muslim brothers and sisters a happy Ramadan celebration in his brief message.

Ramadan Outreach Activity with Mondelez (Tacurong, Sultan Kudarat)
NCCC Supermarket and Mondelez Philippines teamed up for the Ramadan Outreach Activity at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) of Tacurong City’s District Jail Male Dorm last March 27, highlighting two of the latter’s prominent brands—Tang powdered juice drink and Oreo cookies.Â
Gener John Magbanua, a coordinator and staff member of the dorm’s health service team, hosted the event proper on behalf of their Jail Warden JSISNP Charles Louie Selario. In his opening remarks, he gave thanks to the sponsors for taking the time and effort in visiting their institution.Â
Jessie Jr. Bingil, Assistant Store Manager of NCCC Supermarket – Tacurong branch, also graced the place with his presence and participated in the giving of over 100 exclusive gift bags to the Muslim male inmates.Â
Four (4) inmates have given their personal thanksgiving messages for the sponsorship provided by both NCCC Supermarket and Mondelez PH teams, as well as their own reflections during Ramadan, tackling about the various mandatory rules they are expected to exemplify and make examples of.Â
