Cabantian SHS students attend FREE Screening of A Thousand Forests

Grade 12 Regular and Alternative Learning System (ALS) students together with its teachers and faculty members watched A Thousand Forests at Cinema 1 and 2 of NCCC Cinemas, NCCC Buhangin last June 27, 2026.

A total of 350 students from Cabantian Stand Alone Senior High School (CSASHS) participated in the film viewing. 

The film is about a vibrant environmental musical film that follows five teenagers from diverse backgrounds as they join the prestigious Philippine Forest Camp, where promising young leaders compete in teams for a chance to travel the world as Forest Ambassadors and become global voices for the planet.

This event reinforced the commitment of PLDT Telescoop, NCCC and Bulwark Foundation in promoting education, environmental awareness, and youth development through enriching experiences that extend learning beyond the classroom while fostering environmental consciousness and community engagement.

Aside from the screening, a remarkable part of the event is the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Bulwark Foundation Project, Inc. and CSASHS as well as PLDT Telescoop, NCCC, and the Department of Education – Schools Division of Davao City further strengthening their partnership in supporting educational initiatives.

The event was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. AJ Perez, Executive Assistant to the CEO of NCCC; Mr. James Gregorio, Director of PLDT Telescoop; and Dr. Braian Mahinay, Education Program Specialist II.

Bulwark Foundation Project, Inc., whose advocacy includes donating books to pioneering schools, continues to support CSASHS as one of its beneficiary institutions. Through its partnership with NCCC, PLDT Telescoop, and the Department of Education, the foundation aims to create more opportunities that inspire learning and social responsibility among Filipino youth.
